Phi Theta Kappa Receives Numerous Awards at Regional Convention

Phi Theta Kappa Chapter members receiving an awardFive students, three advisors, and two chapter alumni attended the Carolinas Regional Convention in Atlantic Beach, NC this past weekend. This annual convention hosts Phi Theta Kappa chapters from across North and South Carolina, as well as Bermuda, and presents regional awards. Those award winners are then eligible for international consideration. This year, we are proud to announce the York Technical College Chapter received multiple awards, showcasing excellence on behalf of our students and their advisors.
 
Our chapter's awards from the regional convention are as follows:

  • Carolinas Region Service Project Award for their Campaign to have as many members as possible sign up for and complete Narcan Administration Training

  • Carolinas Region Honors In Action Award for their Awareness Campaign for York, Chester, and Lancaster County historical site stories

  • Carolinas Region Superstar Award for completing six specific tasks through the past year.

  • Carolinas Region Hall of Honor Award - Windi Bahl, Chapter President

  • Horizon Award for Significant Advising Contribution to the Region - Heather Eddy, Biology Department

  • Multiple members and advisors completed some of the PTK Edge Programs and were issued awards

  • Paragon Advisor Award for advisors with less than 4 years of experience - Bobby Osborne, Welding Department

  • Distinguished Chapter Officer Award - Windi Bahl, Chapter President

  • Continued Excellence in Advising Award - Heather Eddy, Biology Department

  • Honors In Action Theme Three Award

  • Honors In Action Project Award - Honorable Mention

  • College Project Award - Honorable Mention

  • Most Distinguished Chapter Award - 2nd Runner-Up - This award makes them eligible for a Distinguished Chapter Award on the International Level.
