At York Technical College, we're committed to making educational opportunities and academic support accessible for members in and around our community. Not only do we offer training and academic courses led by instructors with expert-level knowledge in their fields, but our tuition rates are by far the lowest in the region. Even better, our off-campus learning centers are conveniently placed around Chester and York counties, allowing you to participate in coursework and training in a traditional classroom setting closer to home.
Whether your goal is to earn an associate degree or for a trade certification, York Tech's off-campus centers offer a place to learn, train, and ask the questions you need to succeed. In addition to housing state-of-the-art classrooms and labs for you to learn and study in, our centers are home to many of the same student resources and services as the main campus.
You'll have access to traditional classrooms where you can participate in a live interactive teleclass via the internet or by computer-assisted instruction. You will also have a slew of student resources and services at your fingertips, as well as on-site faculty and staff who are there to help. Chester Center
The Chester Center serves as a resource for students who live in Chester County. There, you'll find state-of-the-art classrooms where you may take part in credit and non-credit courses, as well as a wide range of student resources to take advantage of. The Chester Center also offers campus tours, financial aid assistance, course registration and new student advising/career counseling by appointment.
Construction Trades Facility
Got your sights set on a career in construction? York Tech offers a multitude of construction trades programs that prepare you for jobs in growing industries such as Residential/Commercial Carpentry, Residential/Commercial Plumbing, Residential/Commercial Wiring, and Construction Management. At our off-site Construction Trades Facility, you'll be able to participate in courses and training in classrooms and labs with the latest technology. Truck Driver Training Facility

Since 1995, York Technical College has worked both independently and collaboratively with local and national trucking companies to provide an excellent training program for future drivers. Today, we're proud to host an off-site location where you may participate in driver training and take courses in a traditional classroom setting. Pursue Your Truck Driving Career at York Technical College
York Technical College's Truck Driving Program, taught at our satellite campus (located at 390 South Wilson Street in Rock Hill, South Carolina), offers state-of-the-industry training ranging from CDL permit training to operator training for Class A and Class B vehicles. In the program, you’ll learn from experienced professional instructors who will not only prepare you for a bright future in the industry, but also to meet the DMV requirements necessary for licensure.
To ensure your success in both the program and your future career, you’ll participate in a variety of hands-on learning experiences outside of the classroom, including Field/Yard, Observation, and Behind-The-Wheel Training. Once you have completed the program, your instructor will schedule an appointment for you to receive your professional license at the SCDMV office, and you'll be on track to begin a promising career in professional truck driving.
