Through dual enrollment, you'll have the opportunity to take courses from our wide
range of quality programs, saving up to thousands of dollars as you jump-start your
college education before even graduating high school. Not only can you earn a degree
or certificate to kick-start your career, but you can continue your education by transferring
to a four-year college or university to earn a bachelor's degree.
Alternatively, if you're looking to jump straight into the job market, our hands-on learning approach ensures that you'll be steps ahead of future competitors. You'll participate in hands-on learning activities in the classroom, while at the same time, earning valuable industry experience through Work-Based Learning opportunities, or internships and apprenticeships.

Programs of Study for Dual Enrollment
Dual Enrollment Pricing: 2025 - 2026 Academic Year
York Technical College and the Dual Enrollment Office are pleased to announce the continuation of no-charge tuition and fees for SC Lottery Tuition Eligible students in the upcoming academic year.
To qualify for SC Lottery funding, students must complete the following annually:
- FAFSA waiver
- SCWINS affidavit (if applicable)
To be eligible for SC Lottery Tuition Assistance, students must meet these requirements:
- Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or an eligible non-citizen under State residency statutes.
- Be a legal resident of South Carolina as defined by State residency statutes for tuition and fees.
- Be enrolled as a degree-seeking student in a minimum of six (6) credit hours and maintain satisfactory academic progress.
Additional Information:
The 2025-2026 academic year includes Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026 semesters.
- Students will be responsible for additional costs if:
- Enrolled in 5 or fewer credit hours, or
- Not eligible for SC Lottery Tuition Assistance or SCWINS funding, which means they will need to cover tuition, fees, textbooks, course materials, and any other associated costs.
- If students are enrolled in more than 15 credit hours per semester, they will be responsible for:
- Tuition, fees, textbooks, and course materials for the credit hours exceeding 15.

These resources are designed to help you succeed both inside and outside of the classroom, and range from tutoring to career advising, counseling, tech support, and more.
Interested in Winthrop? We can put you on a Fast Track to Winthrop while you take dual enrollment classes with us. While you're here, you will only take dual enrollment classes that will feed directly into your selected major at Winthrop, guaranteeing a seamless transfer of credits and cutting the cost of your bachelor's degree in half.
