Welding
The Welding program at York Technical College prepares students for high-demand careers

Entry level positions range from $20 - $25 per hour, and welders with 5 to 10 years of experience, should expect to make over $30 per hour.

Meet the Faculty
Reed Livengood, Department Chair- Reed Livengood has over 15 years of welding experience and has served as an instructor and department chair at York Technical College for the past 7 years. He is a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and has worked across a range of industries, including manufacturing, inspection, and quality control.
Amanda Stevens, Welding Instructor- Amanda has over 17 years of welding experience and has spent more than 7 years as an instructor at York Technical College. She brings a diverse industry background to her teaching, offering students real-world knowledge and expertise.
Matthew Bumgardner, Welding Instructor- Matt has over 20 years of experience in the welding industry, working across a wide range of specialties and applications.
Bobby Osborne, Welding Instructor- Bobby brings over a decade of welding experience to the classroom and has been an instructor at York Technical College for the past five years. His background spans a wide range of welding industries, giving him a well-rounded perspective and experience to the broader welding skillset.
