York Technical College Announces New Vice President for Academic Affairs

Dr. Webber headshotROCK HILL, S.C., (Jan. 7, 2026) – York Technical College is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Mary Margaret "Meg" Webber as its new Vice President for Academic Affairs, effective January 16, 2026. Dr. Webber brings nearly 20 years of distinguished leadership experience in higher education, having previously served as Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Executive Director of the Center for Professional Excellence at Winthrop University.

In her previous role at Winthrop University, Dr. Webber oversaw faculty processes and professional development for over 250 faculty members. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with six Chief Academic Officers across various universities and colleges, serving as deputy to five, which has equipped her with a robust understanding of academic leadership and institutional transformation.

"We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Webber to York Technical College," said Dr. Stacey Moore, President of York Technical College. "Her extensive experience and visionary leadership will be crucial in advancing our academic initiatives and workforce development efforts."

Dr. Webber possesses expert knowledge in developing and implementing Quality Enhancement Plans, managing SACSCOC accreditation processes, and leading innovative faculty development initiatives. In addition to her academic achievements, Dr. Webber also managed corporate training operations during her tenure at UnitedHealth Group.

She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Ball State University, with a specialization in adult and community education, as well as a Master's degree in Learning Design and Technology from Winthrop University. As a resident of York County, Dr. Webber is dedicated to the educational and professional development of the local community.
