York Technical College will celebrate the Class of 2020 with a Virtual Commencement Ceremony on Tuesday, June 23 at 7 p.m. It is the first time the College has ever hosted its commencement virtually.

The College will award 1,005 credentials to 737 students who completed their academic programs at the end of Spring 2020. Of the graduating class, 53 of those were dual enrollment students, having finished programs at York Tech while being enrolled in high school or GED programs. Additionally, approximately 300 more credentials are expected to be awarded in August when the summer terms end.

“I want to congratulate all of York Technical College’s 2020 graduates,” said York Technical College President Greg F. Rutherford, Ph.D. “Finishing your education is a triumphant accomplishment, and managing to do so during some very uncertain times shows your resilience and determination. I applaud all of the graduates, and wish them much success in all of their future endeavors.”

Viewers can watch the ceremony and associated celebrations virtually by visiting https://yorktech.info/gradceremony2020, or on the College’s Facebook page.

York Tech’s commencement was originally scheduled for May but was postponed due to the pandemic.
