The York Technical College Foundation, an independent, nonprofit organization operating under South Carolina law, is at the heart of this mission. The Foundation plays a pivotal role in keeping education accessible, offering a range of financial aid resources that support our students and enrich their educational experience.

The Foundation provides more than tuition assistance. Donations are allocated to reward academic excellence, leadership, special achievements, and innovative teaching. These funds also support the development of academic programs and campus facilities and address immediate College needs as they arise. Beyond funding, the Foundation promotes College goals by supporting programs and activities that attract prospective students and equip current students with the tools they need to succeed academically and professionally.

From emergency funds for students in need to innovative pilot programs, the Foundation helps the College create a powerful economic development platform to improve the lives of our students, their families, and the communities we serve. The Perkins Grant Program, the Merancas Financial Hardship Program, and the York Technical College Foundation Emergency Assistance Fund are administered through Counseling and Support Services.
