The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available online from the
U.S. Department of Education beginning October 1st of each year. The FAFSA website
will ask questions about your family’s income and assets to determine an Expected
Family Contribution, or EFC. York Tech then compares your family’s EFC with the total
cost to attend to determine the amount of your Financial Aid package. The program
then attempts to fill all or part of the gap between your family’s EFC and the total
cost.
You need to complete the FAFSA and apply for aid only once each school year. Be sure
to use York Technical College's FAFSA Code when applying. The FAFSA Code for York
Technical College is 003996.
