Learn More About the Rad Tech Program
The Radiologic Technology Program at York Tech begins once a year in the summer semester and lasts for six consecutive semesters, or two years. In this program, you'll learn the foundations of radiographic positioning, radiation biology, and radiation physics, as well as the essentials of human anatomy and physiology. Even better, you'll learn from knowledgeable instructors who share a passion for service, and who are not only willing but also excited to help you become the professional you're meant to be. Our courses and classrooms are designed to help you gain the hard and soft skills needed to excel in your future role, such as communication, ethics, attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and more.
As a student radiographer, you'll participate in hands-on training in a variety of clinical settings, earning valuable experience and impacting the lives of real patients in need. Through the work-based learning clinical rotations, you'll apply the important concepts and theories from the classroom to help the team diagnose and treat injuries and diseases. Plus, you'll establish connections in the healthcare industry and craft a solid resume that will turn the heads of future employers when it comes time to apply for jobs.
Discover Academic Programs that Align with Your Goals
Our JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technology Program puts you on the path to earning an associate degree in just two years. However, the program is limited in enrollment, and its waiting list operates on a first-qualified, first-served basis. To ensure timely admission, you'll need to make sure you meet the qualifications and get on the waitlist as soon as possible.
Upon enrollment, you will be admitted into the Allied Health Services Certificate program as you complete the General Education courses required for the Rad Tech degree. Once you've completed your general education courses, you'll graduate with your Allied Health Services Certificate. It's important to remember that you will not be admitted into the Radiologic Technology program until the semester that you actually begin the Radiologic Technology (RAD) classes.
