Through the Years
The General Assembly of the State of South Carolina passed a joint resolution to create the York County Technical Education Center, contingent on approval by the voters of South Carolina in a special referendum. Later that year, voters approved the establishment of the Center.
J.P. Stevens Co. donated 25 acres along the US 21 Bypass, which became the future home of York Technical College.
Young Construction Company completed work on the York County TEC Center. The college officially opened on September 28, 1964.
E. Wilson Craig appointed as Director of York Technical College.
Machine Shop students constructed a time capsule.
York County TEC Center held its first commencement, where thirty-three students were awarded diplomas.
