York Tech’s Wintermester Returns for a Second Year

Registration for four-week online courses is now open

For the second year, York Technical College is proud to offer Wintermester, a four-week academic term that is offered completely online over the winter break. After a successful launch in 2018, the term allows students to take select courses online beginning December 16, 2019 through January 10, 2020.

“We’re ecstatic to offer Wintermester again this year to York Tech students and other students from surrounding colleges who may need college credits,” said Stacey Moore, the College’s Executive Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs. “Wintermester is unique in that it allows students to complete courses from home without having to step foot on campus and most of the courses are transferable to four-year colleges and universities.”

This year, 25 courses are being offered during Wintermester in a 100% online format, which provides students with flexibility and convenience. Wintermester courses are offered at the College’s regular tuition rates – that’s just $184 per credit hour for in-county tuition. Additionally, the College is waiving all fees (except inclusive access course material fees) for Wintermester.

New students to York Tech may take advantage of Wintermester, but they need to be certain to complete all of the enrollment steps fairly quickly. Wintermester is also open to visiting students from other colleges.

The deadline to register for Wintermester is Friday, December 13.
