York Tech to offer FREE summer camps for rising 4-12 grade students

Thanks to an innovation challenge grant from the S.C. Department of Commerce, York Technical College is able to offer 11 summer camps to local students and their families at no charge.

Thanks to an innovation challenge grant from the S.C. Department of Commerce, York Technical College is able to offer 11 summer camps to local students and their families at no charge.

Scheduled to run June 6 through July 24, the camps will be held at York Tech's main campus in Rock Hill and at The Hive, the technology center in downtown Rock Hill.

 

The camps will primarily focus on technology and career development, with topics including game design, 3D design, entrepreneurship, digital photography, and other STEM careers. The full schedule is available at http://yorktech.edu/summercamp2015.php.

 

All camps will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch and snacks are included. Before- or after-care is not available.

 

With the exception of the STEM Career camp, which can enroll up to 20 students, all other camps are limited to 12 students.
